A Sneak Peek At My First Homemade Toddler Halloween Costume

After a day of cutting felt and rescuing feathers from the chubby hands of my little Bean, My first handmade toddler Halloween costume is finally making progress.

I think I have found my groove and as soon as the glue dries,  I hope to make some serious progress.  I was spinning in circles until the mask came together and once it did, I stumbled in the right direction.

I am still not certain what will happen once I try this on the Bean but I am on track to have it completed early enough to order a back-up (just in case).  I never thought I would be the Mom that took on a homemade toddler Halloween costume but there is nothing like becoming a mom to make you want to go all out.  I am so excited for our Halloween celebration this year,  in fact,  I am excited for all the upcoming holidays.

There are a few areas for this costume that have me stumped but it is nothing a nice long Google search can't help me with.

The Mask
There are no eye holes because I am going to make it more like a headband

The Body
Since our Home resides smack in the middle of Steeler nation,  this is the one and only time an Eagles onsie is welcome but it was the cheapest onsie on the clearance rack so I couldn't turn it down.

My kitchen, There are three rather big and complicated projects going on right now (including a replacement DIY lamp since the last one sold at my show) so hopefully an unexpected morning nap will get me a bit closer to reclaiming my kitchen table.

  1. Looks great! I never in a million years thought I would take on a Halloween costume as a project, but I think I'm going to make my youngest a peacock costume. I found a great picture to work from and have gathered all the supplies, I just need to sit down and do it! I can't wait to see how yours turns out!
